I thought the bottle for Aha Toro Tequila was very cool looking. I really wanted to so something different with it. The Aha Toro company sponsors a local afternoon radio show. The men on the show always say that if you want to shoot tequila, this is the one to do it with. It got me thinking and the idea came from some brainstorming with Brian. I contacted the men of the Men’s Room (the name of the show) to see if they had an empty bottle to use. They were really cool about it and have me SIX!!! I was soooo excited that they were willing to help me out so much I did a few pictures just for them….

For the big picture I had to cut a corner off the bottle, do pour shots, a set shot and lots of Photoshop! Here is an example shot of the pour:

Here is what the set was:

Here is the image with a collection of all the images before editing:

And the final product!

At this point, I will just introduce myself…

I am Alissa Tag. I grew up in Tucson, AZ, and as much as I love home I love the PNW 100 times more! I live in Auburn with my husband in our first house. I stumbled into photography about five or six years ago. I love it! I wound up going to school at Seattle Central Community College and had the most wonderful time getting my degree in Commercial Photography there. It was not always easy, but I learned so much and made so many wonderful friends. I have now been working at Morning Star Photography for over a year!

I like product photography and love coming up with creative images to create. My most recent favorite product shot is the Aha Toro Tequila. I also like portraits and have done some baby and pregnancy photos recently. I am also starting to take pictures of police officers in their uniforms and with their gear. I really think it is coming together well, but I will talk about that in a different post.

I worked for 8 years at a tool company. What a GREAT learning experience. I could not have asked for better. Currently, I free-lance from home. I still work in the tool industry, but I also do design work for a bakery, a caterer, a company that makes scientific equipment, a company that imports scooters, a hospital, a finishing company, a construction company and a chiropractic office. I LOVE the diversity!

One of my latest projects was a 2-color tri-fold brochure for Valley Medical Center in Kent, WA. This project actually spanned 6 months due to a change in staff in the marketing department. They changed formats twice and were instituting guidelines as we were working on the project. It was interesting to follow it through. The lady I worked with, Amy, was terrific.

vmc-trifold12-07letterrev2c

Another recent project was for Tamu Foods. This was also a tri-fold brochure, but larger. I could not work on this flyer around lunchtime because I know Lydiah’s Samosas are YUMMY!

tamufoodsflyer4-08new

Team Heart & Soles Walking for the Cure is a group that walks the 3-Day for Breast Cancer here in Seattle, WA. They sponsored a fundraising Spaghetti Dinner, Silent Auction and Dessert Auction event in May. I created posters, tickets, table numbers, bid packets, thank you cards, and programs for this project.

As I’ve mentioned before, I LOVE DESIGN! And working with such great customers as I have is an extra blessing. That’s all for now. I have to get back to work.

Have a GREAT day!
